2017 Clinical Registry Solutions
Q-Centrix commissioned Health Business Group to conduct a study of the Clinical Registry Solutions Market. After the firm interviewed 34 hospital executives and industry leaders; 58 hospital executives participated in an online survey. According to the report, the total clinical registry solutions market (including services and software) is expected to grow from $1.03B in 2016 to $1.85B by 2021.
Registry offerings have increased year after year.
In addition to approximately 50 national registries, states and payers sponsor registries. There are an estimated 100 to 150 registries sponsored by states and payers. Today, the average facility is participating in between 5 and 10 clinical registries.
Increased participation is driven primarily by quality improvement.
The study found that participation in clinical registries is driven by increasing quality improvement initiatives; regulatory requirements; financial performance pressure and reputation management.

“The findings confirmed that there are meaningful challenges burdening healthcare providers’ participation in clinical registries. Despite these challenges, clinical registry participation will increase over the foreseeable future driving overall market growth."
